About Solo Sports Management

My name is Mitchel Simons.  I grew up in Midwest City, Oklahoma and graduated from Midwest City High School in 1987.  As a proud MCHS Bomber, I was fortunate enough to be an All-State wide receiver as well as an All-State shortstop and Player of the Year in Oklahoma.  I accepted a baseball scholarship and continued my education at Oklahoma State University. I was named an All-American second baseman after my junior year. I am also a member of the Oklahoma State Baseball Hall Of Fame. I was drafted by the Kansas City Royals and then again by the Montreal Expos after my senior year.

I went on to play 11 years professionally for 7 different organizations.  My last 7 years, I played AAA. Though I never made it to the Major Leagues, I was still able to play alongside many Major League players and even some MLB Hall of Famers.  In 1995, I played in the AAA All-Star game in which Derek Jeter and I were the starting middle infielders. I had the good fortune to meet so many tremendous people and players throughout all of those years.  Many are still currently involved in professional baseball from the minor leagues all the way to the big leagues.

I was never a top prospect and I always had to play with a chip on my shoulder, proving myself each and every day.  I earned a reputation as a guy who maximized his ability with hard work and hard play. That inner determination and self-confidence gave me the ability to accomplish so much in the game of baseball and business.  The same determination and commitment that allowed me to have success as a player is exactly how I will represent every one of my clients. Most importantly, you will be proud to be associated with Solo Sports Management where honesty and integrity are just as important as hard work and dedication.
